🔃 Imagine a world where rather than being incinerated or put in landfill, waste can be cleaned up and transformed by mushrooms into useful materials like enzymes, biogas and salvagable materials that can be recovered for reuse!
🍄 There are about 3.5M fungal species, but only a little over 100 are currently used in biotechnological processes. Fungi have demonstrated their capacity to decompose the most toxic organic contaminants (from crude oil to PFAS). Novobiom is identifying and exploiting fungal strains that unlock a circular economy for industries that struggle significantly with waste.
